What is a Evening Star pattern?

The Evening Star is the bearish mirror of the Morning Star. This three-candle pattern reliably identifies exhaustion at the top of a rally, especially when it appears near resistance or all-time highs.

Evening Stars on NSE blue-chip and midcap stocks near 52-week highs have historically been followed by significant pullbacks of 5–15%. Screened fresh every evening.

What is an Evening Doji Star?
When Day 2 is specifically a Doji rather than just a small candle, the pattern is called an Evening Doji Star and is considered stronger.
Does the stock need to gap on Day 2?
A gap makes the pattern stronger but is not mandatory on NSE, where overnight gaps are less common than in US markets.
How do I confirm an Evening Star before trading?
Wait for Day 3 to close, and ideally see the next session (Day 4) open below Day 3's close. Volume confirmation on Day 3 is critical.
What target should I use after an Evening Star?
Common targets are the 38.2% or 50% Fibonacci retracement of the prior rally. Stop-loss above Day 2's high.
