What is a Three White Soldiers pattern?

Three White Soldiers is one of the most powerful multi-candle bullish patterns. Unlike single-candle patterns, its three-session confirmation makes it far less likely to be a false signal.

On NSE stocks, Three White Soldiers appearing after a consolidation or at the start of a new financial quarter often signal institutional accumulation. MomentumIQ detects this pattern across all NSE stocks daily.

Is Three White Soldiers a reversal or continuation pattern?
It can be both. After a downtrend it signals a reversal; during a consolidation or pullback within an uptrend it signals continuation.
What makes this pattern fail?
If any of the three candles has a very long upper shadow (showing intraday rejection), the pattern is weaker. Also watch for overbought RSI (>75) which can cause immediate pullbacks after the pattern.
How does MomentumIQ detect Three White Soldiers?
We verify three consecutive sessions where each close is above the prior close, each open is within the prior body, and each candle's body is at least 0.5% of price.
Should I chase the stock after seeing this pattern?
Ideally enter on a small pullback to the third candle's body rather than chasing at the high. The pattern confirms the trend; wait for a better risk/reward entry.
