After logging in, your Dashboard is the central hub for everything on Momentum IQ. This guide walks you through each section so you can get the most out of the platform from day one.
Overview Cards
At the top of your dashboard you will see four summary cards:

| Backtests Run | Total backtests you have run this month vs your plan limit |
| Strategies Saved | Number of strategies saved to your account |
| Active Alerts | Live price alerts currently monitoring the market |
| Best Strategy | Your top-performing saved strategy by CAGR |
Recent Backtests
The main section shows your most recent backtest runs. Each card displays:
- Symbol and strategy name — what you tested
- CAGR — annualised return
- Win Rate — percentage of profitable trades
- Status — Completed, Running, or Failed
- Share button — generate a public link to share results
Click any backtest card to see the full results — equity curve, trade log, monthly returns breakdown, and benchmark comparison.
Usage Bar
Below the overview cards, a progress bar shows your daily backtest usage against your plan limit:
- Free plan — 5 backtests per day
- Pro plan — 50 backtests per day
- Quant plan — Unlimited
The usage counter resets at midnight IST every day. Run your most important backtests early in the day so you have quota available for tweaks and comparisons.
Quick Actions
The Quick Actions panel gives you one-click access to the most common tasks:
- New Backtest — start a new strategy test
- Browse Strategies — explore 200+ pre-built strategy templates
- Set Alert — create a price alert for any NSE stock
- View Journal — open your trade journal
Saved Strategies
The Strategies section shows all strategies you have saved. You can:
- Run the same strategy on a different symbol or date range
- Edit parameters and compare results side by side
- Delete strategies you no longer need
- Mark a strategy as favourite for quick access

Pro tip: Use keyboard shortcut N from any page to instantly open the New Backtest form — no need to navigate to the menu.
